Bern, 14.03.2019 - The “Manufacturing technologies” impulse programme from Innosuisse – the Swiss Innovation Agency – has been successfully launched, writes the Swiss Federal Council.
Of the 46 applications submitted for 18-month projects in the first call for projects up to the end of January 2019, 27 have been approved. CHF 10 million in funding is still available for the second call, for 12-month projects.
The closing date for applications is 20 May 2019. From “using additive manufacturing for hydraulic valves in robotic applications under harsh conditions” and “3D printing of polymers in the field of medical technology” to “digitalisation of value chains in the engineering industry” – the projects submitted to Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, cover a very broad spectrum of innovation topics in the “Industry 4.0 and modern manufacturing technologies” segment. The Innovation Council carefully evaluated all project applications and approved the best 27. The total federal contribution pledged for these projects amounts to CHF 14 million.
The projects start in May 2019 and run until October 2020.This means that CHF 10 million francs in funding is still available for the second call for projects with a duration of 12 months. Innosuisse is looking forward to many more interesting innovation projects.
The closing date for applications is 20 May 2019. A total of CHF 24 million is available for the “Manufacturing technologies” impulse programme that Innosuisse is implementing as part of the Federal Council’s 2019–2020 action plan to promote digitalisation. The impulse programme funds innovation projects at the interface between research and implementation that Swiss companies conduct together with research institutions in the digitally-oriented “Industry 4.0 and modern manufacturing technologies” segment.
The approved projects are aimed at providing Swiss industry with advantages such as increased productivity, production flexibility and increased uptime, as well as new production opportunities..
